Adacel air traffic management (ATM) products and services are used by some of the world's leading air navigation service providers(ANSP's) to improve the efficiency of their airspaces and provide higher levels of service to their customers - the airspace users. ANSP's who use Adacel's ATM technology are also leading the way in assisting airlines to reduce their fuel burn and greenhouse gas emissions.
Adacel's core ATM product is the Aurora system, one of the world's most advanced CNS/ATM systems. Aurora provides sophisticated Flight Data Processing incorporating all available surveillance sources (Radar, ADSC/B, multilateration), controller pilot data link communications (CPDLC) and advanced conflict determination.
Aurora can support all air traffic domains: oceanic, enroute, approach and tower. It is a modular system that can be scaled from a stand alone workstation to a fully integrated , multi-station operation. Low cost commercially available workstations and high resolution displays reduce system costs while the elimination of manual tasks reduces controller workload.
Adacel's Aurora system provides the ATM automation for the Federal Aviation Administration's Advanced Technologies and Oceanic Procedures (ATOP) Ocean 21 System.
Aurora provides functionality to support NextGen and SESAR initiatives including complete 4D oceanic profile protection, automated conflict detection, monitoring & control by exception, separation based on individual aircraft performance and equipage, dynamic airspace allocation, controller pilot data link communications (CPDLC) and automatic dependent surveillance contract and broadcast (ADS-C and ADS-B).
Adacel's technology in operation at Airways New Zealand's Oceanic Centre in Auckland - Aurora allows Airways to provide User preferred routing, dynamic airborne rerouting and reductions in separation resulting in reduced fuel burn and greenhouse gas emissions.
